New Area IX Young Rider Coordinator

We are excited to introduce our incoming 2023 Area IX Young Rider Coordinator, Hannah Louis! Many thanks to our outgoing coordinator, Andrea Anderson, for all of her hard work and dedication to continuing this program.

About Hannah:

My name is Hannah and I’m super excited for the opportunity to get involved with the Area IX Young Rider Program! I grew up in Dallas, TX where I was lucky enough to land in a great eventing program. While there, I was part of the Area V Young Rider program, riding up through the CCI2L level, and I also got to attend two NAJYR Championships with the Area V team as groom. I then took several years away from horses while getting my marketing degree from the University of Texas at Austin and starting my career in digital marketing in Chicago. Since moving to Colorado Springs this past April, I got connected with the PSEC team and have started to get back to riding (and hopefully eventing at some point!). Through my time as a Young Rider, I was able to make amazing friendships and grow as a horse person, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help other young riders make the most of an awesome program.

Area IX Volunteer Hours and Awards!

As we think about the upcoming season I would like to approach the subject of Volunteering at this years events. There are two amazing opportunities for volunteers to be recognized this year.

Our Volunteer Recognition Progam (VIP):

Without Volunteers there is NO Eventing. Volunteers come in many forms….Riders, Friends of riders, Trainers and their Students, people who would love to learn more about the sport, or those who just love this sport.

A Program has been developed within Area IX to incentivize Volunteering, and to recognize Volunteers and their hard work.

* YEAR END AWARDS*

~Area IX Volunteer of the Year
