Lynn’s extensive experience in teaching, training and competition has been growing since her youth. In the early 70’s, she received her Instructor Certificate under Major Lynch and moved to Morven Park where she was an instructor in dressage and combined training. She in the only person to be awarded the Equestrian Instructor’s Certificate from Morven Park Equestrian Institute without actually taking the course. This program was the forerunner of the ICP (Instructor Certification Program). In the late 70’s, Lynn was hired by Lake Erie College as an instructor, trainer and barn manager. There she taught all the advanced classes. While in Area VIII, she competed two horse at Preliminary Level and worked with the best trainers. In 1980, she advanced to head instructor and trained riders and horses for the Kentucky 3-Day. In 1981, Lynn accepted a position as rider/trainer under Torrence Watkins (Gold Medal 3-Day Team member at the L.A. Olympics) at Over The Grass Farm In VA where she received daily instruction at the advanced levels. Following her stay with Torrence, Lynn became an assistant instructor at Foxcroft School where she remained for 8 years, teaching 40-50 students a week along with going to competitions. Her varsity teams won the championships every year. In 1987 Lynn won the Area II Adult Team and Individual Championship at Preliminary Level along with training several horses to Intermediate. Returning to Colorado in the  90s, Lynn has been at Mile High Horse Ranch for 20 years where she has been irreplaceable in building the Combined Training program. She is a great coach and is still tirelessly teaching and training horses. She was CCC Trainer of the year 3 years in a row, has numerous USEA and MSEA awards and her students have also received many awards from Beginner to Intermediate.

Mile High Horse Ranch has one of the best, if not the best Cross Country Schooling course in Colorado. It is varied with many of the types of jumps one would find at a competition. The 20-22 inviting, yet challenging fences at each level from Elementary to Training include interesting questions, water, banks, ditches etc. We also have a challenging assortment of Preliminary fences. The courses are built over 35 acres of hilly terrain which gives you the opportunity to train your horse up and down hill. Each jump is color coded according to level, making it easy to stay at a level or move up if you wish. Schooling at Mile High is open all summer (weather permitting) except for the week before the Derby.

Tomora Training Center is one of northern Colorado’s top equine boarding and training facilities, located just west of Greeley and about 5 minutes east of I-25. With 320 acres of gently rolling fields, you can take a relaxing trail ride or go for a gallop on the open dirt roads.  You can personally work your own horse in one of our four arenas or take private lessons with our award winning instructor, Nicole Roach-Reinsvold.

We welcome all styles and disciplines of riding to our facility. Each horse is personally cared for in their 12×12 stall with attached 50×12 run. With multiple options for turnout, including individual or group pasture, we have something to fit most horses’ needs. Feeding, bedding, blanketing, the use of the entire facility, individual locker and opportunities for clinics and shows at home is all included for $600 per month.
