Area IX is a chapter of the United States Eventing Association (USEA), the governing body for the sport of eventing in the U.S. The USEA has nearly 13,000 members with 250 recognized events across the nation.
By joining USEA, you receive benefits such as the ability to compete at recognized competitions, access to educational resources like clinics, seminars and certified instructors, a subscription to Eventing USA magazine, and eligibility for year-end awards and leaderboards.
For Area IX members specifically, participation in the local network provides an added layer of community and connection through regional events, training opportunities, and support tailored to the unique needs of riders in this area.
How to Join / Renew
Joining or renewing your USEA membership is a straightforward process. Visit the official USEA website to complete the online membership application or download a membership form and mail it in.
Memberships must be renewed annually, typically by December 1, to ensure uninterrupted access to benefits and eligibility for competitions.
Riders can choose from several membership types, including full memberships for competitive riders, junior memberships (under age 18) and supporting memberships for non-competitive participants who want to stay involved in the eventing community.
Area IX members are automatically connected to their region upon registration, enabling them to participate fully in local events and programs.
