What do young eventers do in the middle of a cold and snowy January? Go to the Area IX Young Riders Eventing Dressage Clinic to hone their dressage skills!

Ten Area IX young riders, ages 11-17, spent two days with instructor Nicole Roach-Reinsvold in the cozy indoor arena at Tomora Training Center in Greeley Colorado. Each rider received personalized dressage instruction. When not riding, they watched and learned from each other.

You could see the improvement in both horses and riders as they discovered how to better work together. The smiles when the “light bulbs” clicked on while riding said everything.

These extraordinary young women not only showed and developed their riding skills, but demonstrated such strong character, developed new friendships, worked hard taking care of their horses together, and cheered each other after each ride.

Be sure to keep an eye on our event calendar for future Young Riders events.
